Role Summary

The Program Manager in the High Reliability and RF (HRR) group leads cross-functional teams to deliver design, development, and manufacturing programs for space, aerospace, and other mission-critical power systems. The role manages program planning, schedules, budgets, customer communication, and overall program performance as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 3–5 years of program/project management or engineering team lead experience in the aerospace field.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include program execution, schedule and budget control, technical monitoring, and customer liaison.

• Plan and lead cross-functional teams to implement program deliverables and maintain communications with internal and customer stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain program status reports and integrated master schedules (IMS); conduct program meetings and design reviews.
• Track material and labor expenditures; prepare monthly ETC/EAC calculations with finance and generate program financial and resource reports.
• Monitor technical progress of design/development programs and major manufacturing programs.
• Assist in proposal preparation and sales forecasts; liaise with functional managers and business development personnel.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for programs; define specifications, provide status updates, and resolve issues.
• Domestic and international travel as required (0–25%).

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

• 3–5 years program/project management or engineering team lead experience in the aerospace field.
• Proven ability to plan and manage programs, present to managers/clients, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge of contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus, and Time & Material (T&M).
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial reports and working with finance on ETC/EAC calculations.
• Ability to communicate status and technical matters clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Must satisfy U.S. export control requirements (proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or protected classification).
• Physical: primarily indoor work (approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standing).

Education Requirements

BS degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical preferred). MS degree or a project management certificate is highly desired. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Candidates must meet U.S. export-control eligibility (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual).
