Engineer I, Test Engineering - Product Development

Role Summary

As an Associate Test Engineer on the Product Development team, you will design and implement test methods, fixtures, and diagnostic programs to validate semiconductor products across development and manufacturing. The role supports product validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance in collaboration with experienced engineers.

Entry-level; 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing test methods and equipment, creating test programs, and supporting product qualification and troubleshooting.

  • Design and implement cost-effective testing methodologies for systems and equipment.
  • Develop and assist in test and diagnostic programs to evaluate product functionality and performance metrics.
  • Design and support test fixtures, evaluation boards, and PCB layouts for test setups.
  • Define test setups and stress conditions required for standards compliance and qualification testing.
  • Plan and assist with resource allocation: labor, schedules, and equipment for testing activities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues during product development phases.
  • Ensure testing processes meet quality standards and documented procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to create structured test cases that validate functionality and performance.
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic testing methodologies.
  • Fundamental skills in designing simple test fixtures and PCB layouts for test applications.

  • Basic skills in resource planning for testing activities.
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and qualification testing concepts.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred; 0–2 years of experience in test engineering or a related field.
