Engineer I - Quality

Role Summary

The Quality Engineer I supports product and process quality by executing quality system activities, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives for semiconductor products.

This role works with the Quality Engineering team on TRB administration, NSCAR and CAPA processes, QMS maintenance, and AS9100 audit activities.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 0-2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, design, processing, or quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include handling quality system tasks and supporting corrective and preventive actions:

  • Administer Technical Review Board (TRB) records using the company TRB tool.
  • Manage Non-Standard Customer Action Requests (NSCAR).
  • Support CAPA activities: containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Assist development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Participate in internal audits and AS9100 compliance assessments.
  • Facilitate training and communication to drive continual improvement across functions.
  • Prepare metric and technical reports and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Travel as required: approximately 0%–25%.

Requirements

Must-have skills, experience, and eligibility:

  • 0–2 years related experience in semiconductor manufacturing, design, processing, or quality assurance.
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work on a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for metrics and technical reporting.
  • US Person required for export-controlled technology access; candidates must be able to provide appropriate proof of status.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science, or equivalent practical experience.
