Job Title

Engineer, HIG HBM Product & System Engineering (Media Health Reliability Coding)

Role Summary

Develop and maintain intrinsic and extrinsic reliability test programs for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products, including DRAM, interface die, and stacked assemblies. Deliver test flows and validation to assess Time0 and field DPM and intrinsic reliability, meeting quality, cost and cycle-time targets.

Work cross-functionally with fab, technology development, design, system and quality teams to debug test programs, define hardware interfaces, analyze data, and drive reliability improvements.

Experience Level

Mid-level (no specific years of experience stated).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for the role include:

  • Write, debug and maintain reliability test programs for device and package qualification.
  • Develop new test flows (examples: extended wafer-level burn-in, pWLRx, ELFR) for DRAM, interface die and stacked products.
  • Identify root causes of test failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and validate interface hardware and test board interactions.
  • Analyze engineering data using statistical tools for validation and risk assessment.
  • Promote innovation and optimize code and test infrastructure to improve effectiveness and reduce cost/cycle time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (fab, technology, design, system, quality) to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Make technical risk decisions and assist in project prioritization and management.
  • Identify process and system improvements to increase quality and reduce cost.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

  • Proficient in Python and/or C++ for test program development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root-cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture, and basic device physics.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical tools (examples: Python, JMP).
  • Understanding of testing and verification approaches for reliability assessment.
  • Ability to work effectively in team-based, cross-functional projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
