Engineer, HIG-HBM Product Engineering (Media Health Reliability Coding)

Role Summary

As an engineer on the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Product Engineering β€” Media Health team, you will develop and maintain intrinsic and extrinsic reliability test programs for HBM devices and stacked products. The role focuses on test program coding, reliability assessment, and cross-functional technical collaboration to meet quality, cost, and cycle-time KPIs.

Work with advanced memory products and test infrastructure to improve product robustness.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing reliability test flows, debugging, validation, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Design, code, and debug reliability test programs for DRAM, interface die, and stacked HBM products (intrinsic and extrinsic tests).
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test-program-related failures.
  • Define and validate interface hardware specifications and debug test interface boards.
  • Analyze engineering data using statistical tools for validation and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with Fab, HBM technology development, HBM design, system development, and quality/reliability teams.
  • Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and test infrastructure optimization.
  • Make technical decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization; mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Manage projects and timelines to meet product qualification milestones.
  • Work on site in Singapore; travel internationally to the US, Taiwan, and Japan as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and behaviors for successful performance.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in Python and C++ for test program development and scripting.
  • Must-have: Proven experience in reliability engineering or a related role involving test program development and failure analysis.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and root-cause analysis capability.
  • Must-have: Basic understanding of CMOS technology and DRAM device physics.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of statistics and data-analysis tools; ability to apply statistical methods to validation and risk assessment.
  • Optional / Nice-to-have: Product or test engineering experience and familiarity with test verification approaches.
  • Optional / Nice-to-have: Experience with hardware interface validation and test board debugging.
  • Other: Effective written and verbal English communication; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Product or Test Engineering experience is preferred.
