Engineer, EDG Verification
Role Summary
Entry-level Product Development Engineer within Micron's Edge Devices Group (EDG), focused on Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technical customer support and verification. The role supports investigation of customer-reported issues, root-cause analysis, verification test development, and cross-functional collaboration to improve product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities
Contribute to verification, failure analysis, and product-quality activities supporting NVM products and customers.
- Plan, execute, and track verification activities and test campaigns.
- Define verification requirements and develop test programs based on specifications and application models.
- Perform electrical failure analysis (FA) and drive root-cause investigations; coordinate corrective actions with internal teams.
- Develop and execute test firmware and laboratory tests for production, FA, and NAND verification.
- Report test and FA data clearly with concise findings and risk assessments at decision points.
- Support DFMEA, DFT, and DFM activities and collaborate with design, validation, firmware, and QA teams.
- Support development of software and hardware tools and use AI automation to improve test and analysis workflows.
- Work with Quality Assurance on customer returns to establish root cause and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with application engineering to manage application notes, risk assessments, and datasheet errata.
Requirements

- Must-have: Basic understanding of electronics and semiconductor devices.
- Must-have: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with memory technologies (NAND, SSD, eMMC, UFS).
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (Python, AI scripting tools).
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with quality tools and root-cause methodologies (for example, 8D).
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
