Engineer — DRAM Design & Evaluation (Disability position)
Role Summary
Join Micron Memory Japan at the Hashimoto Technical Center to work on DRAM design, circuit layout using design tools, and prototype evaluation. The position is intended for candidates with disabilities; training and reasonable workplace accommodations are provided.
Primary mission: contribute to next-generation memory development by executing design, evaluation, and related engineering tasks while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience Level
Entry-level. No specific years of experience required; suitable for candidates with limited or no prior semiconductor experience. On-the-job training is provided.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and test next-generation memory designs.
- Create circuit layouts using electronic design tools.
- Evaluate and analyze prototype devices and test data.
- Use AI tools to assist design, analysis, and productivity tasks.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders by phone and email (accommodations provided for communication needs).
- Perform related engineering tasks and participate in required training.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Possess a recognized disability certificate (障がい者手帳).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Japanese language proficiency sufficient for workplace communication.
- Basic PC skills; practical skills may be assessed during selection.
Nice-to-have:
- Interest in semiconductor design, testing, or electronics.
- Willingness to learn CAD/design tools and participate in company training programs.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher vocational or university education in engineering or related fields is acceptable but not required. No specific field of study mandated.
