Role Summary

Micron Memory Japan is hiring engineers with disabilities to work at the Hashimoto Technology Center on DRAM design, circuit layout, and prototype evaluation. The position focuses on one primary engineering area (design, layout, or evaluation) and related tasks, with company training provided after onboarding.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No explicit years of experience required; on-the-job training and internal mentoring are provided. Suitable for candidates with relevant interest or basic technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Main duties focus on a single technical area and associated support tasks:

• Develop and design next-generation memory (DRAM) components and associated functions.
• Create circuit pattern designs using electronic design tools.
• Evaluate and analyze prototypes and test samples; perform measurements and data analysis.
• Use AI tools to support workflows and improve efficiency.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders by phone and email (accommodations available for hearing-impaired candidates).
• Participate in company training and practical tests as part of the selection and onboarding process.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and capabilities:

• Possess an official disability certificate / disability handbook (障がい者手帳).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Practical PC skills; candidates will undergo a practical PC skills assessment as part of selection.
• Ability to communicate in Japanese (spoken and written) for routine workplace communication.
• Able to work the stated day shift (typically 08:30–17:15).

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with semiconductor design, circuit layout, evaluation, or EDA/design tools.
• Familiarity with prototype testing and measurement equipment.

Education Requirements
