Engineer, Digital Design Engineering
Analog DevicesJob Title
Engineer, Digital Design Engineering
Role Summary
Join the Automotive Networking team in Valencia to design and deliver RTL IP and digital subsystems for production products. The role focuses on architecture, RTL implementation, and integration with verification and firmware teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Graduate).
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support digital IP and subsystems from requirements through integration and bring-up.
- Define requirements and architecture in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Architect, design and implement RTL IP using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Run and support simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis; participate in design reviews.
- Optimize designs for performance, power, and area (PPA).
- Work with verification engineers to define test strategies and debug issues.
- Support firmware development, debugging, and system bring-up when required.
- Improve workflows, tools, and methodologies for IP development and integration.
- Participate in pre-silicon validation and FPGA emulation activities as needed.
Requirements
Minimum technical skills and experience required to be productive in this role; additional exposures are beneficial.
- Must-have: Practical experience with Verilog and/or SystemVerilog in a digital design environment.
- Must-have: Programming experience in one or more languages (C/C++, Python, TCL).
- Must-have: Understanding of common on-chip communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, or UART.
- Familiarity with simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis flows.
- Nice-to-have: FPGA emulation or pre-silicon system validation experience; familiarity with Ethernet or networking concepts.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to design-closure activities (timing, power, area) and microcontroller-based subsystems.
- Nice-to-have: Awareness of automotive or safety-critical design flows (e.g. ISO 26262) and security/encryption techniques for embedded systems.
- Willingness to travel (~10% of the time).
