Job Title

Engineer, Design Verification

Role Summary

The Design Verification Engineer will verify semiconductor IP and SoC blocks for data-center and accelerated infrastructure products. The role is part of the Data Centre Engineering Group and focuses on developing verification environments and testbenches to ensure performance, power and reliability targets are met.

Work closely with RTL designers, architects and system teams to plan and execute verification strategies and achieve sign-off criteria.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 3+ to 7 years of relevant verification experience. (Posting specifies Bachelor’s +5 years or Master’s +3 years.)

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include implementing verification plans, creating testbenches, running regressions and debugging failures.

  • Develop UVM-based testbenches and verification environments for IP and subsystem verification.
  • Implement directed and randomized tests and perform coverage-driven verification.
  • Execute RTL and gate-level simulations; analyze results and report coverage metrics.
  • Debug functional failures, perform root-cause analysis and propose fixes.
  • Integrate software/C models where required and support bring-up activities.
  • Automate regression runs and maintain verification infrastructure and scripts.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proven experience in IP verification, verification methodology and testbench development.
  • Proficient in Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM and C/C++.
  • Solid knowledge of verification techniques: object-oriented testbench development, white-box/black-box testing, directed/random testing, and coverage analysis.
  • Experience with gate-level simulation flows and standard debug tools.
  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
