Role Summary

Developing design evaluation engineer who performs hardware and software bench evaluations, characterizes silicon performance, and contributes to test automation. Works on an evaluation engineering team to validate device performance and support product qualification.

Resolves moderately complex problems with moderate guidance.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Independently perform hardware and software bench evaluations.
  • Execute test methods to characterize silicon performance.
  • Collect and analyze measurement data to identify issues and trends.
  • Perform basic debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Document evaluation processes and results with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to development of test automation.
  • Travel as required (up to ~10%).

Requirements

Must-have skills and competencies:

  • Design evaluation techniques: experience applying evaluation methodologies to characterize silicon performance.
  • Data analysis: ability to analyze measurement data to identify basic issues and trends.
  • Debugging: capability to perform basic debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Documentation: proficiency documenting evaluation processes and results.
  • Communication: professional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. The posting also indicates 2+ years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
