Engineer, Design Enablement

Role Summary

The Engineer, Design Enablement will support testing and characterization of silicon photonic devices to enable PDK development and customer testing services. The role works with senior engineers and cross-functional project teams to execute test plans, collect and analyze data, and improve testing processes.

This is a hands-on position in a semiconductor manufacturing environment focused on ensuring device performance meets specifications and on implementing automated test solutions.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include executing test activities, maintaining equipment, and supporting data-driven validation:

• Perform optical and electrical testing of silicon photonic devices at chip and wafer level following established procedures.
• Execute test plans and collect measurement data accurately and efficiently.
• Analyze test results and prepare reports for review by project teams and senior engineers.
• Assist troubleshooting of test-related issues and support root-cause investigations.
• Maintain test setups and equipment to ensure proper operation and measurement accuracy.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and internal teams for routine calibration and maintenance.
• Support implementation and optimization of automated test solutions for manufacturing and development.
• Work closely with designers and stakeholders to validate device performance against specifications.
• Document test procedures, observations, and results in a timely and organized manner.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
