Job Title
Engineer, Design
Role Summary
Senior design engineer in the Non-Volatile NAND (NVE) Design Engineering Analog group responsible for designing and validating analog and mixed-signal circuits used in NAND flash memory products. Works across multi-functional teams to deliver scalable, manufacturable, and reliable circuit implementations.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting describes a Sr. Design Engineer; explicit years of experience were not provided.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities across the full product development lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and validate analog and mixed-signal circuits (charge pumps, regulators, amplifiers, ADC/DAC, bandgap, power management blocks).
- Translate system requirements into circuit architectures, specifications, and transistor-level implementations optimized for performance, power, area, noise, and reliability.
- Perform comprehensive circuit simulation and verification (DC, AC, transient, noise, Monte Carlo, PVT corners) including parasitic-aware validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance, power consumption, die size, and manufacturability.
- Produce user documentation, participate in build reviews, silicon validation, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
Key technical and professional requirements. Education details are listed separately under Education Requirements.
Must-have:
- Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
- Solid understanding of device physics, variability, noise, reliability, and power integrity.
- Hands-on experience with SPICE-based simulation tools and verification methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively in dynamic, multi-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with NAND Flash or other non-volatile memory technologies.
- Familiarity with design automation, scripting (e.g., Python), or AI-assisted design approaches.
- Understanding of layout constraints and interaction with physical design flows.
Education Requirements
M.S. (Master of Science) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field. The posting specifies these graduate degrees as the required academic background.
