Job Title
Engineer, DEMQRA Automotive PQRE
Role Summary
Lead qualification and ongoing reliability monitoring of DRAM, NAND, and memory products for Aerospace & Defense and high-reliability applications. Work with engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to define and enforce qualification, screening, and acceptance practices.
Establish reliability requirements (DPM/FIT/lifetime/mission profiles), perform risk assessments, respond to product deviations, and support manufacturing and customer-facing teams. Travel may be required 1–3 times per year for 3–10 days per trip.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of relevant semiconductor quality, reliability, product engineering, or qualification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include qualification, reliability methodology, and cross-functional support:
- Lead new product qualification, A&D qualification, and lot-level upscreening; define acceptance criteria and issue product release or lot disposition decisions.
- Assess failure mechanisms, environmental stressors, and packaging integrity; perform risk assessments across qualification cycles.
- Develop and maintain product reliability methodology, monitors, metrics, and specifications in coordination with R&D, test, package reliability, and product engineering teams.
- Maintain reliability tests and monitoring strategies aligned to industry and internal standards.
- Define and maintain quality and reliability requirements (FIT, lifetime/mission profiles, DPM/PPM, screening limits); assess deviations and drive containment and disposition actions.
- Support manufacturing and customer teams with RMA analysis, traceability, qualification summaries, audit responses, and corrective-action closure.
- Prepare compliance evidence packages, support qualification reviews, and coordinate with external test houses and auditors.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Minimum 3+ years in semiconductor quality, reliability, product engineering, or qualification; DRAM/NAND experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of DRAM, NAND, VLSI, semiconductor physics, and semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab, assembly, test).
- Proven ability to lead multi-functional qualification activities and make data-driven decisions using risk assessment and documentation.
- Experience collaborating with customers and auditors and supporting corrective-action closure in regulated or high-reliability environments.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with data analysis and scripting/automation tools (Python, Perl, C++, Java).
- Understanding of aerospace and military microelectronics standards and flows (e.g., PEM‑INST‑001, SAE AS6294, MIL‑STD‑883/750, MIL‑PRF‑38535).
- Awareness of radiation reliability concepts (TID, SEE) and experience with external test houses and screening processes.
Education Requirements
B.S. (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
