Job Title

Engineer, Central NPM

Role Summary

Responsible for planning and executing new product introduction (NPI) demand lines, coordinating build plans and production orders, and ensuring timely transition from NPI to high-volume manufacturing. Partners with site NPMs, operations, and engineering to manage delivery risks, cycle time, and customer commitments.

Experience Level

Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). Years of experience not specified.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end NPI execution and delivery, mitigate risks, coordinate transitions to production, and drive automation and process improvements.

  • Manage NPI demand lines from build request through shipment; support demand line closure and disposition governance.
  • Coordinate build plan commitments with manufacturing sites; monitor production order start/completion and resolve execution bottlenecks.
  • Monitor critical NPI WIP movement across assembly, test, module and SSD operations; manage hot lot prioritization and escalations.
  • Analyze model vs actual cycle time, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions; maintain cycle time assumptions for planning.
  • Track product readiness and transition milestones; coordinate NPI-to-HVM handoffs and launch metrics.
  • Lead backlog and MAD risk reviews; develop mitigation plans and escalate critical risks to stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive automation, reporting, and continuous-improvement opportunities (including AI/RPA/digital initiatives) to improve operational visibility and efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills and domain experience.

  • Must-have: Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, supply chain, planning, operations, product engineering, or NPI management; experience working in cross-functional manufacturing environments.
  • Must-have: Data analysis and reporting skills; advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of manufacturing execution and planning systems and execution-to-delivery processes.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of semiconductor assembly, test, module, or SSD operations.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with SAP, enterprise planning tools, or enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Nice-to-have: Scripting/automation skills such as Python, SQL, Power Automate; experience implementing AI or automation initiatives.
  • Nice-to-have: Demonstrated ability to standardize processes and drive continuous improvement across sites.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
