Engineer, Applications Development
Role Summary
Member of the MACH Division providing pre- and post-sales applications support for semiconductor analytics and process optimization products. Work with customers to investigate process issues, collect and analyze data, define solutions to reduce defects and improve yield, and support new product introduction.

Entry-level / Early career. Typical experience cases: Master’s degree with 0 years related experience, or Bachelor’s degree with ~2 years related experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities involve customer-facing support, product introduction activities, and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Provide pre- and post-sales application support and customer investigations at customer sites.
- Gather and analyze process and metrology data to identify root causes of process errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Define problem statements with customers and resolve technical issues; produce Best Known Methods (BKM) and training materials.
- Support new product introduction: definition, characterization, alpha/beta testing, evaluation, and customer use-case development.
- Collaborate with engineering to specify software features, report bugs, and contribute to product roadmaps.
- Contribute to technical publications or presentations at industry symposiums when appropriate.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
