Emulation & FPGA Prototyping Engineer
VoltaiJob Title
Emulation & FPGA Prototyping Engineer
Role Summary
Own emulation and FPGA prototyping efforts for SoCs and subsystems to validate designs before silicon. Work with semiconductor partners to enable early software bring-up, system validation, and to produce system-level data that supports Voltai's model training and evaluation.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically 5+ years of relevant emulation or FPGA prototyping experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain emulation and FPGA prototyping platforms for SoCs and subsystems.
- Map designs onto emulators and FPGAs, including partitioning and timing closure.
- Enable early software bring-up, system validation, and performance analysis.
- Debug complex hardware/software issues at system scale.
- Develop automation for emulation compile, run, and triage workflows.
- Generate system-level data to support model training and evaluation.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 5+ years of emulation or FPGA prototyping experience.
- Hands-on experience with Palladium, ZeBu, Veloce, or HAPS.
- Strong SystemVerilog knowledge and experience with FPGA toolchains (Vivado, Quartus).
- Experience with hardware/software co-verification and system-level debug.
- Scripting experience in Python, Tcl, or C/C++.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with transactors and hybrid emulation.
- Linux driver or firmware bring-up experience.
