Role Summary

As an Emulation Engineer on the verification team, you will develop and enhance emulation models and environments for pre-silicon verification using ZeBu and similar platforms. The role focuses on building, integrating, and debugging hardware and software collateral to support SoC and IP bring-up, validation, and software enablement.

This is a remote role within India and requires collaboration with design, verification, validation, and software teams.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Develop emulation models from RTL using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools.
• Integrate and debug hardware and software collateral for emulation testing.
• Define and implement tools and methodologies to improve emulation model usability.
• Analyze and optimize emulation environments and test suites for performance and efficiency.
• Develop scripts, automation flows, and methodologies to support emulation utilization.
• Participate in SoC and IP bring-up and perform root-cause analysis for testbench issues.
• Enhance hybrid environments combining virtual platforms and emulation models.
• Collaborate across design, verification, validation, and software teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Experience in emulation model builds and debug on platforms such as ZeBu, Veloce, or Palladium.
• RTL code debug experience (Verilog preferred).
• SoC-level reset and boot debugging experience.
• Programming and scripting: Python, C/C++, Perspec, Verilog.
• Experience integrating and debugging hardware collateral with emulators.
• Ability to develop automation flows and emulation test methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Synopsys tools or HAPS platforms.
• Knowledge of Intel CPU or x86 architecture and system-level emulation verification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or a related field. The posting specifies 10–12 years of experience.
