Embedded Software Intern
Role Summary
The intern will work on L1 embedded software (SDK) for Marvell switching product lines, contributing to real-time/embedded software development, SDK maintenance, and CI/CD tooling. The role is part of the L1 SW team in Israel and involves collaboration with architects, QA, customer support, and global engineering peers.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level. Candidate should be a current student with at least one year remaining until graduation.
Responsibilities
Typical tasks and scope for this internship include:
- Develop and maintain real-time / embedded software as part of the L1 SW (SDK) team for switching products.
- Implement and support Marvell's SDK features and bug fixes.
- Develop and improve CI/CD infrastructure and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, QA, support) and distributed peers in Israel, India, and the US.
- Deliver practical solutions for customer and product requirements under supervision.
Requirements
Core qualifications and desired attributes.
- Must-have: Good knowledge of C/C++.
- Must-have: Good knowledge of Python scripting.
- Must-have: Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Must-have: Availability to work at least 3 days per week on-site.
- Strong self-learning ability and motivation to meet project goals.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of operating systems and computer organization.
Education Requirements
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Candidate must have at least one year remaining until graduation.
