Embedded Software Engineer (Bluetooth)

Role Summary

Develop major software components for Bluetooth products within the Wireless IoT business unit. Work closely with hardware, validation, customer support and marketing teams to implement features, ensure reliability and optimize performance.

The role involves embedded C development, debugging on Simulation/FPGA/SoC platforms, and participation in certification and Bluetooth standard activities.

Experience Level

Mid-level — minimum 2 years of embedded software development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Review Bluetooth specifications and derive engineering and implementation requirements.
• Design, implement and maintain Bluetooth features with emphasis on reliability, clean design and optimized performance.
• Define and implement unit test plans to provide sufficient functional coverage.
• Participate in product certification and interact with Bluetooth SIG as required.
• Diagnose issues and deliver efficient fixes.
• Provide training and support to validation and customer support teams and produce technical documentation.
• Contribute to improvements in process, tools and technology.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Minimum 2 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficient in C with professional experience in embedded software development.
• Knowledge of the software development flow from requirements through implementation and testing.
• Hands-on software debugging on Simulation, FPGA and SoC environments.
• Technical documentation skills and effective communication; strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience developing software for communication protocols.

Education Requirements

Holder of an engineering degree in computer science, electronics or embedded systems (engineering degree in related technical field).
