Electronics/Software Engineer
Role Summary
Develop bespoke electronics and software test systems for Sensata manufacturing processes. The role focuses on designing and delivering production test equipment, integrating it into automated production lines, and supporting remote manufacturing sites.
Work closely with product design teams and suppliers to implement test solutions, diagnostics, and traceability systems for TPMS, MEMS, HTS, electrification, and industrial product families.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing, building, integrating and supporting production test systems:
- Design and develop production test equipment for TPMS, MEMS, HTS, electrification, and industrial product families.
- Integrate test equipment into automated production lines and production systems.
- Develop, debug and maintain test applications using PC programming languages and test frameworks (examples: C/C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand).
- Optimize automated test equipment performance; write specifications and develop diagnostic and test-result traceability systems.
- Create training materials and provide training to remote manufacturing sites.
- Liaise with suppliers to integrate third-party equipment and with product design groups to support SEL hardware design and APQP when new production technology is required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and conditions of employment:
- Proficiency in common PC programming languages for test development (examples: C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand).
- Practical experience developing, debugging or supporting automated test software and equipment for manufacturing environments.
- Ability to produce training materials and to train remote sites on test equipment and procedures.
- Willingness to undergo a medical examination including a drugs test as part of pre-employment screening.
Nice-to-have:
- Electronics design experience.
- Firmware design experience.
- Experience integrating equipment with manufacturing information systems and quality/data traceability systems.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in an electronics- or software-related discipline (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science) is required by the posting.
