Electronics Reliability Simulation Intern (Fall 2026)

Role Summary

Join the Strategic Student Program at Siemens Digital Industries Software to support development of Simcenter Simlab for electronics reliability workflows. You will work with senior engineers and product teams to test, document, and improve simulation workflows used for consumer electronics reliability.

This is a paid internship within a software product team; work is performed remotely.

Experience Level

Entry-level — student internship (targeted at undergraduate and early Master’s students).

Responsibilities

Work under general supervision to contribute to development, testing, documentation, and marketing content for simulation workflows.

  • Learn and apply Simcenter Simlab for electronics reliability workflows.
  • Develop and enhance multiphysics workflows for electronics reliability.
  • Test workflow performance, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Create end-to-end tutorials, documentation, video assets, and presentation materials.
  • Contribute content for marketing initiatives and live events.
  • Assist Technical Product Managers and application engineers with customer testing and issue validation.
  • Collaborate with product definition and development teams during testing and validation.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Comfortable working fully remotely.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with video editing tools (e.g., Camtasia) or similar.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Simcenter Simlab, explicit/implicit simulation, or other Simcenter products (Optistruct, Radioss, Hypermesh, HEEDS).
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD (NX) modeling.
  • Python scripting experience.
  • Familiarity with PCB design and 2.5D/3D IC technologies.
  • Prior experience producing tutorials, documentation, or marketing content for technical products.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited university or a first- or second-year Master’s student (Mechanical Engineering preferred). Minimum GPA: 3.0. (Enrollment status and GPA requirement were specified in the posting.)
