Job Title

Electronics Lab Technician

Role Summary

Provide hands-on support for evaluation kits (EVKs), lab operations, PC/software setup, and logistics to enable validation and prototype testing of semiconductor hardware. Work closely with validation engineers and internal/external teams to prepare, deploy, and maintain test systems and lab equipment.

Role is operational and technical, focused on reliable execution of lab tasks, equipment maintenance, and supporting reproducible validation workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Level - Entry or Early Career). Approximately 2 years of electronics lab or hands-on technical experience expected.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include preparing and maintaining EVKs and lab infrastructure, supporting validation activities, and managing logistics and lab upkeep.

  • Support EVK system checkout, FPGA/GUI integration, debugging, and validation.
  • Manage EVK BOM, kitting, material preparation, and tracking.
  • Prepare, test, and deploy EVKs to internal and external teams; ensure proper handling and testing of packaged IC parts.
  • Perform cable changes, chip swaps, and screening to support validation engineers.
  • Support lab setup, test configurations, and prototype builds.
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment (high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, etc.).
  • Provide basic PC support, install GUI tools, and assist with Python environment setup and updates.
  • Support lab shipments, cross-site logistics, and tracking of parts and equipment.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, safety standards, and assist with preventative maintenance.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Approximately 2 years of electronics lab or hands-on technical experience.
  • Familiarity with basic circuits, components, and common lab instruments.
  • Experience operating lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNAs.
  • Basic PC/software setup experience and familiarity with GUI tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational and time-management skills, and effective team communication.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to Python and environment setup.
  • Prior experience with EVK BOM management, kitting, or shipments.
