Role Summary

Senior hands-on electrical hardware engineer responsible for driving mixed-signal PCB and electronics development from requirements through production release for reticle inspection and semiconductor metrology systems.

Work within the Reticle Product Division collaborating with software, systems, mechanical, manufacturing and external partners to deliver high-reliability industrial equipment.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 7+ years of professional electronics development experience and demonstrated leadership of technical projects.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include leading technical execution, managing risks, and coordinating cross-functional activities for complex electronics projects.

• Lead PCB redesign and new electronics development from requirements definition through production release.
• Plan, execute, track and manage technical risks for electronics development activities.
• Define system and subsystem requirements for electronic assemblies and interfaces.
• Design, review and approve analog, digital and mixed-signal electronic circuits and architectures.
• Coordinate schematic development, PCB layout reviews, prototype builds, qualification and manufacturing readiness.
• Collaborate with external design houses, suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive root-cause investigations, verification, validation and design optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety, EMC and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation, specifications and test procedures.
• Communicate technical concepts and project status within international and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, domain experience and working conditions required for the role.

• Must-have: Minimum 7 years professional experience in electronics development, with proven leadership of technical projects or major work packages.
• Must-have: Strong background in PCB architecture, schematic design and electronics integration for high-reliability equipment.
• Must-have: Experience managing suppliers, external development partners or contract engineering organizations.
• Must-have: Demonstrated success bringing complex electronic products from concept to manufacturing release; experience in industrial equipment, machine control, automation, semiconductor equipment or medical devices preferred.
• Must-have: Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work in international, cross-functional teams.
• Must-have: Willingness to travel internationally (up to ~20%) and valid EU work permit required.
• Nice-to-have: Mixed-signal electronics design, high-speed digital interfaces and embedded control systems experience.
• Nice-to-have: Sensor signal acquisition, actuator/motion-control interfaces, FPGA or DSP-based systems.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with MATLAB, Python or similar tools for simulation and data analysis.
• Nice-to-have: Good German language skills are desirable.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. Fields cited include Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines.
