Role Summary

Join the SensArray team to design mixed-signal electrical subsystems for instrumented wafer products used in semiconductor manufacturing. The role owns electrical architecture, component selection, schematic and PCB development, validation, and cross-disciplinary integration from concept through production.

This position requires hands-on hardware design, test execution, and close collaboration with firmware, systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and product teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical requirement: 3+ years designing electronic hardware and mixed-signal circuits; ability to independently execute subsystem designs with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Primary technical responsibilities include system architecture, circuit and PCB design, and validation.

• Design and develop mixed-signal electrical subsystems for instrumented wafer products.
• Define electrical architectures and evaluate tradeoffs for performance, power, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Develop low-power analog and digital circuitry for sensing, measurement, and embedded applications.
• Select and integrate sensors, ADCs, microcontrollers, memory, batteries, communication interfaces, and power-management circuits.
• Create schematics and drive PCB/substrate development through reviews and release.
• Define system-level performance requirements, error budgets, and measurement specifications; implement calibration strategies.
• Develop and execute validation plans, electrical characterization, and design verification testing.
• Lead technical investigations, troubleshoot complex hardware issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with firmware, systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and product engineering across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

• 3+ years designing and developing electronic hardware products, including mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience developing schematics and supporting PCB design and integration.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and other test equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience driving technical investigations and debugging via root-cause analysis.
• Ability to independently execute subsystem designs with limited supervision.
• Experience defining system requirements, measurement specifications, and validation plans.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is expected. Minimum qualifications as posted: Doctorate (PhD) — 0 years related experience; Master’s — 3 years; Bachelor’s — 5 years. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered where indicated by the posting.
