Role Summary

Entry-level chip design role within Annapurna Labs (an AWS semiconductor team) focused on developing semiconductor technologies that power AWS cloud infrastructure. The role contributes to architecture definition, logic design, verification, bring-up, and production integration of next-generation compute platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Intended for recent graduates or students in their 8th semester; candidates should be willing to work full-time.

Responsibilities

Primary technical responsibilities and day-to-day activities include:

• Develop and design semiconductor blocks and subsystems for cloud compute platforms.
• Collaborate on architecture definition and RTL/logic design.
• Participate in chip verification, validation, and bring-up activities.
• Support the product lifecycle from concept through mass production.
• Integrate new chip designs into AWS data center environments and support system-level testing.
• Work with advanced EDA tools, test frameworks, and automation/scripting to solve engineering problems.

Requirements

• Must-have: Demonstrated academic performance and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Must-have: Curious, self-driven attitude; able to work in a fast-paced engineering environment and commit to a full-time position.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in chip design, design-for-test (DFT), or design verification.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and familiarity with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
• Nice-to-have: Strong scripting and programming skills for testbench automation and tooling.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is specified. Candidates may be students (in their 8th semester) or recent graduates; the posting requests inclusion of an academic grade sheet with the CV.
