Electrical Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate system-level mixed-signal models and functional subsystems for custom ASICs. Work across pre- and post-silicon phases to ensure correct implementation and performance, collaborating with manufacturing and test teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level (Experienced). Typical requirement: Masters degree plus 3 years' experience, or Bachelors degree plus 5 years' experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include modeling, simulation, circuit development, and validation.
- Research, design, and develop system-level mixed-mode models for ASIC functional subsystems.
- Run simulations, analyze results, and identify implementation issues and corrective actions.
- Manage complete circuit design cycle through tape-out and fabrication.
- Perform post-silicon validation and characterization using RF test and measurement equipment such as signal analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Experience with system-level mixed-signal modeling and circuit simulation.
- Hands-on experience with ASIC design flow and managing tape-out/fabrication processes.
- Experience in post-silicon validation and characterization using RF test equipment.
- Ability to interpret simulation and measurement data and define corrective actions.
- Effective collaboration and communication in cross-functional engineering teams.
Education Requirements
