Partner with CAD and Design Automation to configure tools and PDKs, maintain reproducible environments, and define scalable flows that enable faster, more reliable mixed-signal design iteration.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical candidates have 5+ years of experience supporting or automating semiconductor EDA tools in analog, mixed-signal, custom-design, CAD, or methodology environments; exact level will be assessed during interview.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Own deployment, configuration, reliability, and evolution of the EDA environment for mixed-signal teams.
- Design, develop, test, release, and support AI-enabled automation and workflows, primarily in Python.
- Integrate Tcl or Cadence SKILL scripts and EDA-specific tooling into batch and GUI flows as needed.
- Partner with Design Automation and CAD to configure tools and PDKs, qualify versions, and maintain reproducible environments.
- Standardize automation conventions, interfaces, and data formats across teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tool, configuration, PDK, and workflow issues with CAD, PDK, infrastructure, layout, and design teams.
- Apply software engineering best practices to EDA tooling: version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
Requirements
Core technical requirements and desirable skills.
