EDA Product Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Join the R&D team responsible for validation and quality of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining automated test frameworks and regression suites for IC implementation and verification tools.
The engineer will work with cross-functional teams and application engineers to reproduce, analyze and resolve issues, and to continuously improve test coverage and execution efficiency.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include validating features, running and maintaining tests, and reporting issues.
- Create test plans covering features and enhancements for assigned tools.
- Manually verify newly implemented code and use third-party EDA tools when needed.
- Implement and maintain automated regression tests and test automation frameworks.
- Execute tests daily or on demand and summarize results to stakeholders.
- Report defects with reproducible inputs (scripts, layouts, steps) and assist in localization.
- Collaborate with Application Engineers to analyze customer-facing issues.
- Provide weekly status reports and participate in QA and cross-functional meetings.
- Support team members during critical incidents or force-major situations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical abilities; nice-to-have items listed separately.

Must-have: Knowledge of full RTL-to-GDSII flow (functional context for validation activities).

Must-have: Strong knowledge of static timing analysis and timing constraints and their impact on ASIC flows.

Must-have: Experience in automated software testing; prior EDA testing experience preferred.

Must-have: Scripting/programming skills and understanding of basic algorithms and complexity estimation.
