Role Summary

Two-month summer internship on the Siemens EDA Artificial Intelligence (AI) QA team based in Cairo (hybrid). Interns will design and execute tests for AI applications and conversational platforms, work with engineers and customers, and deliver measurable QA outcomes for production software.

This is an applied QA engineering internship focused on test design, execution, automation, and clear issue reporting.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students (3rd or 4th year undergraduate). No prior professional experience required; this is an early-career position.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for the intern role include planning and performing tests, documenting findings, and contributing to QA processes.

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases to validate AI application functionality.
• Create test scenarios reflecting real customer use cases and recommend improvements.
• Perform manual and automated testing of conversational flows, APIs, integrations, and system performance.
• Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and clearly report defects and issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in AI and conversational platform testing.

Requirements

Must-have and nice-to-have technical skills and attributes for successful candidates.

• Must-have: Good understanding of AI, ML, and large language model (LLM) basics.
• Must-have: Familiarity with API testing and basic QA methods (test case design, version control, issue tracking).
• Must-have: Comfortable scripting in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Must-have: Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to work independently and in a team; fluent English (written and spoken).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Selenium, Postman, or similar test tools and test automation frameworks.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to NLP concepts (intent recognition, entity extraction) and conversational flow testing.

Education Requirements
