Job Title

Early Career - AI for Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver AI-enabled solutions that accelerate analog circuit design, sizing, and layout across TI's IC development teams. The role sits in the IT organization in Dallas and pairs machine learning techniques with analog engineering workflows to produce production-ready tools.

Work includes building data pipelines, training and deploying discriminative and generative models (including LLM-based agents), and collaborating with analog designers to translate engineering problems into AI solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career — typically 2–5 years of relevant experience in AI/ML development or analog circuit design.

Responsibilities

Deliver AI applications for analog design and support their lifecycle from development through deployment and monitoring.

  • Design and implement AI-enabled workflows for analog circuit design, sizing, and layout using classical and neural-network methods (MLPs, RNNs, CNNs, GNNs, transformers).
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to support model development, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Develop agents and applications using modern LLMs and contribute to model training workflows.
  • Train new networks, test solutions rigorously, and monitor deployed models for accuracy and data drift.
  • Collaborate with analog design partners to translate engineering workflows into AI-ready problems and produce production-ready implementations.
  • Participate in design reviews and produce technical documentation for delivered solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful candidates; preferred items listed separately.

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in AI/ML development or analog circuit design.
  • Practical experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ML model development workflows.
  • Experience with training, evaluating, and deploying neural networks and monitoring model performance and drift.
  • Ability to translate analog engineering problems into AI/ML formulations and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with transformer-based LLMs and agent frameworks; additional neural network types (MLPs, RNNs, CNNs, GNNs); traditional ML techniques (clustering, regression, tree-based methods); Python and PyTorch; familiarity with analog simulation and layout tools and common analog circuit blocks.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (stated as required). PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is listed as preferred. The posting expressly allows equivalent practical experience for higher-level academic equivalence.
