DV Methodology Engineer

Role Summary

The DV Methodology Engineer supports design verification infrastructure and testbench architecture for AMD Radeon GPU SoC projects. The role works with IP and SoC teams to define and implement simulation environments, regression flows, and automation to enable functional verification and project delivery.

Experience Level

Mid-level; guidance from the posting: typically 3+ years (B.E./B.Tech) or 1+ years (M.Tech) experience in infrastructure development for SoCs or IP verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining DV infrastructure and simulation flows.

  • Collaborate with IP and SoC teams (GFX, memory controller, multimedia, IO, PCIe) to define testbench and DV infrastructure requirements.
  • Scope testbench architecture and simulation configurations.
  • Develop fast initialization sequences for SoC simulations.
  • Maintain scripts and tools for resource tracking and regression management.
  • Support test regression flows and related tooling (e.g., Perl, MySQL, PHP).
  • Debug and enhance simulation testcases and models; assist in simulation and gate-level debug when needed.
  • Evaluate and benchmark tools and flows to improve simulation performance with vendors.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes.

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  • Experience with UVM and Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Solid understanding of digital systems and computer organization.
  • Confident coder with hardware/software debugging ability.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Organized and able to multitask across distributed teams.

Education Requirements

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering. The posting specifies B.E./B.Tech candidates typically have 3+ years' experience, or M.Tech candidates have 1+ years' experience in infrastructure development for SoCs or IP verification.
