DTCO Data Engineer

Role Summary

The DTCO Data Engineer extracts, processes, and transforms design PPA and related engineering data to produce validated analytics, reports, and technical specifications that inform foundry and customer engineering decisions.

This role works within Intel's Central Engineering Group, liaising between foundry technology and customer engineering teams to automate analytics, validate data quality, and deliver actionable insights.

Experience Level

Entry-level (College graduate / early career). Typical experience indicated: months-level experience with data analysis tools and basic data validation and reporting workflows.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include preparing and delivering validated data and automated reports to support engineering decisions.

  • Extract, clean, and transform complex design datasets to ensure integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze patterns and trends in large design reports using statistical and predictive techniques.
  • Develop and automate analytics, validation, and reporting tools and pipelines.
  • Translate design requirements into technical specifications for foundry teams; serve as liaison between foundry and customer engineering.
  • Monitor data integration performance and quality control; propose and implement improvements.
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum technical requirements and desirable skills.

  • Must-have: 6+ months experience with data analysis tools (examples: SAS, SAP, SQL, Python).
  • Must-have: 3+ months experience in data validation, cleansing, or verification methodologies.
  • Must-have: 3+ months experience using reporting tools to create dashboards and visualizations.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills and experience interpreting complex datasets.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with automation tools for analytics and reporting.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a technical environment and strong problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field is listed as the minimum qualification.
