Job Title

DRAM Yield & Quality Product Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for driving yield and quality performance for DRAM products through cross-functional coordination with design, manufacturing, test, and quality teams. The role focuses on preparing new products for ramp, ensuring silicon meets product specifications, and implementing corrective actions from failure analysis and data-driven investigations.

Works within a global, multicultural engineering team to translate technical findings into prioritized actions that meet product timelines and business objectives.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting indicates candidates with practical industry experience are preferred; 2+ years of related industry experience is mentioned as preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product readiness, yield improvement, failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Engage early in ramp and product planning to support yield and grading forecasts and readiness.
  • Perform data extraction and analysis of silicon parametric and test-manufacturing data to identify failure trends.
  • Create and maintain yield paretos with actions, timelines, and estimated yield gains; drive prioritization and follow-through.
  • Perform hands-on failure analysis in the lab to isolate root causes and support corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Product Yield Enhancement (PYE), fab and manufacturing teams to implement fixes and process improvements.
  • Coordinate with Test Engineering and Design-For-Test to improve test coverage and product quality.
  • Work with Quality Assurance on reliability performance, customer returns, and corrective action plans.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports for a range of audiences, including product leadership.
  • Analyze historical and experimental data to improve forecasting accuracy and product performance models.

Requirements

Key qualifications, separated into must-have and preferred items where indicated.

  • Must-have: Familiarity with common DRAM fail modes by data and failure analysis; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work across multi-functional teams; solid communication and presentation skills; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Hands-on failure analysis experience; experience coordinating with manufacturing, test, and design teams; coding and automation experience to support data analysis and test automation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field. The posting explicitly allows "equivalent" experience in lieu of a degree.
