Job Title

DRAM Power Architect, DEG

Role Summary

As a DRAM Power Architect on the DEG team you will analyze DRAM power behavior, develop power models and methodologies, and influence architectural decisions to optimize power, performance, and energy efficiency for next-generation AI-enabled memory products.

You will work across design, product engineering, and system architecture teams and support power targets through the product development lifecycle.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires 8+ years of relevant industry experience; advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) are also acceptable.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include power analysis, modeling, defining targets, and cross-functional technical leadership.

  • Perform AI-assisted DRAM power analysis, including IDD characterization, workload-based modeling, and power breakdown analysis.
  • Develop and maintain power models, methodologies, and tools to evaluate DRAM architectures and power-performance tradeoffs.
  • Translate system and customer power requirements into recommendations that drive architectural and product decisions.
  • Define and support DRAM power targets throughout product development.
  • Partner with Design, Product Engineering, and System Architecture teams to identify and implement power improvements.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical qualifications.

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: DRAM architecture, memory subsystems, semiconductor fundamentals, power analysis, modeling, simulation, architecture evaluation, or technical data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop solutions.
  • Effective technical communication and collaboration across engineering teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with DRAM power-specific analysis (IDD metrics, power characterization), workload-based power modeling, memory controller behavior, system-level power analysis, and development of power analysis tools or automation frameworks.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; or a Master's degree or PhD in a related field. (These degree options were specified in the posting.)
