DRAM Device & Process Modeling Engineer
Role Summary
Embedded modeling engineer within Process Integration for DRAM R&D. Develop and apply semiconductor device and process modeling to guide technology decisions and accelerate DRAM scaling from R&D toward manufacturing.
Work in a cross-functional R&D environment using simulation, device physics, and experimental validation to provide predictive insights for future DRAM memory technologies.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities focus on modeling, simulation, validation, and cross-functional technical leadership to support DRAM technology development.
- Develop and apply semiconductor process and device models to address technology challenges and inform process development decisions.
- Perform TCAD and other advanced simulations (Silvaco, Sentaurus, or comparable tools) to analyze process interactions and device behavior.
- Design experiments and analyze results using DOE and statistical methods; correlate simulation with experimental and silicon data to improve models.
- Collaborate with Process Integration, Process Development, Device Engineering, Yield, Failure Analysis, Parametric, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Summarize technical problems and recommendations; build consensus and drive solutions across teams.
- Define and deliver sub-milestones for modeling projects within larger technology programs.
- Provide simulation-driven insights that enable transfer of R&D technologies into manufacturing.

- Nice-to-have: Experience developing predictive models for advanced nodes or across memory/logic/analog/RF/MEMS domains.
- Nice-to-have: Track record of successful collaborations in dynamic, multi-tasking teams and evidence of driving projects toward manufacturing transfer.
Education Requirements
Required: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field, plus demonstrated semiconductor industry experience. Preferred: PhD in one of the listed fields.
