Role Summary

The DRAM Device Engineer will support DRAM product enablement and yield ramp in Micron's Taichung Fab. The role focuses on electrical test analysis, device characterization, reliability and performance improvement, automation of data workflows, and collaboration with process integration, product engineering, design, QA and failure analysis teams.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include analyzing electrical data, characterizing devices, and driving production readiness.

• Analyze electrical test data and provide actionable feedback to process integration and development teams.
• Perform device characterization and detailed investigations of performance and reliability issues.
• Design and execute DOE on silicon to improve device performance and reliability.
• Monitor and maintain device performance on the production line to meet production specifications.
• Develop and automate data workflows; work with data engineering to streamline analysis.
• Apply AI tools where appropriate to improve productivity and analysis.
• Communicate and present technical results to cross-functional teams and larger audiences.

Requirements

Essential and preferred technical skills and personal attributes.

• Must-have: Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
• Must-have: Background or experience in semiconductor device characterization.
• Must-have: Knowledge of statistical data analysis.
• Must-have: Understanding of CMOS and circuit operation.
• Good communication skills and self-motivated work style.
• Nice-to-have: Programming skills (C++, Python) and software tooling experience.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with mainstream memory technologies (DRAM, NAND, NOR) or memory product architecture.
• Nice-to-have: Prior memory industry or production semiconductor manufacturing experience; experience with AI tools.

Education Requirements

M.S. (Master of Science) in Electrical Engineering or Materials Engineering is specified.
