Role Summary
The DRAM Device & Cell Technology Engineer will define and optimize next-generation DRAM cell and access-device technologies to improve product density, retention, reliability, and performance. The role works within the DRAM and Cell Technology department and collaborates with device, array, circuit, and integration teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities
Deliver experimental and analytical work to mature DRAM cell and access device technologies and translate results into scalable product improvements.
- Develop DRAM cell and access-device technologies to improve density, retention, and disturb immunity.
- Design and execute silicon experiments; perform detailed electrical characterization and data analysis.
- Analyze array-level behaviors and collaborate with circuit teams to optimize operation sequences.
- Integrate with multi-functional teams to ensure scalability and robustness of solutions.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap; benchmark internal capabilities and recommend strategic adjustments.
Requirements
Core technical skills and hands-on experience required or strongly preferred.
Must-have
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics (MOSFETs, access devices, capacitors).
- Experience with electrical measurement, device evaluation, and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with DRAM operation fundamentals, including activation, sensing, and disturb mechanisms.
- Proficiency with scripting and data-analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, and JMP.
- Experience designing and analyzing silicon experiments and electrical characterization data.
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with DRAM or NAND device development.
- Experience with TCAD tools (e.g., Synopsys Sentaurus, Silvaco).
- Semiconductor device fabrication or advanced BEOL integration experience.
- Knowledge of reliability mechanisms and device variation analysis.
- Ability to clearly communicate experimental results and drive cross-team alignment.
Education Requirements
Minimum qualification: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related technical field.
