Role Summary
Lead architect for package substrate design automation within the 3DIC Compiler product line. Own architecture and implementation of algorithms and scalable C/C++ software for advanced packaging, multi-die systems, and chiplet integration.
Work closely with product, R&D, and customers to convert design bottlenecks into durable technical solutions and influence the strategic direction of Synopsys' advanced packaging offerings.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect and drive substrate design automation capabilities in the 3DIC Compiler platform.
- Design and implement production-grade algorithms for HDI substrate auto-routing, design rule checking, PDN analysis, and manufacturability.
- Develop scalable, performance-critical C/C++ software for multi-die and heterogeneous integration workflows.
- Lead architecture reviews, influence technical decisions across the product portfolio, and set engineering standards for quality and performance.
- Partner with customers and product teams to translate real-world design problems into robust software solutions.
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar on algorithmic rigor, testing, and maintainability.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- Deep expertise in advanced packaging, package substrate design, routing, power delivery, and manufacturability.
- Proven track record of building production software products at scale, including performance and quality engineering.
- Strong algorithmic foundation applied to physical design automation problems (auto-routing, verification, analysis).
- Expert-level C/C++ skills for performance-critical, large-scale systems.
- Experience in related domains such as custom IC design automation, physical verification, or substrate design tools.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through architecture ownership, product influence, publications, or patents.
Education Requirements
