Job Title

Display Technology Enabling Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the Client PC Ecosystem (PCE) team responsible for enabling display and touch features across Intel platforms. Acts as the primary technical liaison with third-party panel vendors, OEMs, and internal engineering and marketing teams to validate designs, resolve issues, and drive product readiness for launch.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include vendor coordination, platform validation, technical leadership, and roadmap contribution.

  • Work with third-party panel vendors to deliver co-validated platforms and meet Intel display/touch enabling program requirements.
  • Negotiate schedules, prioritize tasks, and drive vendor programs to meet delivery commitments.
  • Participate in regular meetings to diagnose and resolve vendor design and driver issues ahead of launch.
  • Support OEM design-in activities using PC platform knowledge and vendor design/driver expertise.
  • Provide technical data and analysis to improve product competitiveness and resolve project business issues.
  • Contribute ideas for future product roadmaps; collaborate on next-generation proof-of-concept design and validation.
  • Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, analyze test reports, and ensure conformance to standards.
  • Develop plans, cost estimates, risk assessments, procedures, and designs for display-related components and systems.
  • Lead technical discussions with display manufacturers and internal teams to drive results and support volume production ramp.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, program experience, and personal capabilities.

  • Strong knowledge of display technologies and display IT marketing; understanding of operation/data path between GFX and TCON.
  • Experience with eDP, HDR, Panel Self Refresh (PSR1/PSR2), Low Refresh Rate (LRR), Adaptive Sync, DSC, HBR3, OLED, and mini-LED technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-group collaboration and manage vendor engagements and programs.
  • Excellent technical communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, marketing, and engineering teams.
  • Experience in specification management, validation, PoC development, planning and execution.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and deliver high-quality results.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Strong English comprehension (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with Microsoft Windows display stack; additional language skills (Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean) are a plus.
