Role Summary
Lead and scale a Bangalore-based Yield Architecture and Engineering (YAE) organization focused on Design for Yield, DFT partnership, silicon diagnostics, automation, and corrective/preventive actions. The role combines technical credibility, cross-functional partnership, and people leadership to build site capability and deliver production-quality diagnostics and yield improvement.
Experience Level
Senior — experience leading engineering organizations. Typical experience expectations are degree-adjusted: Bachelor's ~8+ years, Master's ~7+ years, PhD ~6+ years in relevant hardware/semiconductor engineering roles.
Responsibilities
Accountable for organizing, growing, and operating a local YAE capability that partners across design, DFT, test, failure analysis, manufacturing, and global stakeholders.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, people-first engineering organization with clear expectations and career development.
- Own talent, retention, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development for the Bangalore site.
- Define and operate a Bangalore charter across Design for Yield, DFT collaboration, silicon diagnostics, automation, and CAPA.
- Deliver production-quality diagnostics capability for scan and memory across product portfolios.
- Establish cross-lifecycle feedback loops that convert diagnostic findings into improved design and manufacturability.
- Champion automation, analytics, and AI to improve productivity, analysis, and knowledge retention.
- Implement operational governance: roadmaps, project planning, metrics, reviews, decision rights, and escalation paths.
- Drive cross-functional and global partnerships to resolve barriers and align on diagnostic and yield objectives.
- Own site capability, team health, and representation of Bangalore priorities in global planning.
- Translate strategy into staffing plans, capability roadmaps, and resource allocation decisions.

Must-have: Extensive semiconductor engineering experience in areas such as Design for Yield, DFT/ATPG, silicon diagnostics, memory diagnostics, product/test engineering, failure analysis, or post-silicon engineering.

Education Requirements
