Job Title

Director, System Level Testing - Product Development Engineering

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end post-silicon validation, test architecture, and manufacturing ramp for NVIDIA product lines including GPU, SoC, LPU, Automotive and Tegra. The role manages a team that validates designs, drives qualification and scale to high-volume production, and partners across design, test, reliability, and manufacturing functions.

Primary mission: ensure silicon meets performance, yield, and manufacturability targets through validation strategies, root-cause analysis, and production ramp leadership.

Experience Level

Senior. Applicant should have approximately 15+ years in semiconductor product development, testing or manufacturing engineering, with 5+ years in director-level leadership or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead a technical organization responsible for validation, characterization, and manufacturing ramp; define test strategy and drive production readiness.

  • Manage and mentor product development engineering teams focused on silicon validation, characterization, and production ramp.
  • Define and drive product development strategy from early silicon through qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement validation methodologies and test strategies for mixed-signal silicon designs.
  • Coordinate closely with Mixed-Signal Design, Test Engineering, Reliability, and Manufacturing for design-to-production transitions.
  • Oversee product characterization and silicon performance analysis.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for silicon performance issues, yield excursions, and reliability problems.
  • Drive yield improvement, test-time reduction, and manufacturing efficiency across wafer and module test flows.
  • Establish scalable data analysis frameworks, automation tools, and statistical methodologies for validation and production monitoring.
  • Support product qualification, ramp readiness, and scaling to high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and leadership capabilities.

  • 15+ years of experience in semiconductor product development, test, or manufacturing engineering, including leading large cross-functional technical teams.
  • 5+ years of director-level management or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of CMOS, component characterization, and analog/mixed-signal circuit behavior.
  • Experience with high-speed testing and silicon characterization methods.
  • Proven track record in yield analysis, product characterization, and silicon debug.
  • Experience using statistical data-analysis tools (e.g., JMP) to derive engineering insights and drive yield improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional problem solving under tight schedules; strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred (nice-to-have):

  • Experience developing or productizing SoC, GPU, or Automotive products and leading product ramps from prototype to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Deep expertise in system-level testing, voltage-frequency characterization, control loops, feedback systems, and high-speed SerDes/analog front-end validation.
  • Knowledge of advanced CMOS process technologies, multi-chip modules (MCM), and high-speed interfaces.

Education Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
