Role Summary
Lead product architecture for NVIDIA's next-generation server CPUs, defining architecture from concept through launch and aligning CPU design with system, platform, networking, software, and silicon teams.
Manage a team of senior architects, represent the roadmap to customers and executives, and drive decisions that optimize CPU performance across the data center for AI workloads.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires 15+ years in server or data-center CPU/SoC architecture and 7+ years of people management or equivalent leadership experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, cross-functional alignment, and customer engagement.
- Define end-to-end server CPU product architecture from concept through production launch.
- Drive architectural trade-offs balancing performance, power, and system-level integration for data-center AI workloads.
- Collaborate with system, platform, networking, software, silicon, and product teams to set requirements and priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of senior architects; set roadmap and deliverables.
- Engage with hyperscalers, AI labs, and partners to capture market needs, ROI, and co-design requirements.
- Represent architecture and roadmap to customers and senior technical and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential qualifications, followed by preferred experience.
- 15+ years of experience shipping server or data-center CPU or SoC products across multiple generations.
- 7+ years managing teams to deliver CPU product strategy and execution.
- Proven track record of cross-functional partnership across architecture, engineering, and product organizations.
- Experience owning product lifecycle, customer engagement, and ROI/value proposition.
- Ability to monitor industry and technology trends and anticipate competitive dynamics.
- Experience co-designing silicon requirements with hyperscalers or large AI labs.
- Nice to have: Experience with both x86 and Arm server CPU architectures.
- Nice to have: Background in accelerated computing or AI infrastructure.
Education Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Base salary ranges: Level 5 - 288,000 USD to 437,000 USD; Level 6 - 352,000 USD to 529,000 USD.
