Semiconductor IP Jobs, Level - Senior

Job Title

Director, Product Management

Role Summary

Lead product strategy and market development for Silicon Lifecycle Management (SLM) IP focused on multi-die architectures (2.5D/3D-IC, chiplets, UCIe) and memory interfaces. You will define the roadmap, translate customer needs into product requirements, and drive go-to-market activities across a cross-functional global organization within the EDA business.

This is a senior product leadership role responsible for positioning SLM IP to address testability, manufacturing test, in-system lifecycle management, and system-level diagnostics for hyperscale, automotive, and mobile markets.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 15+ years in product management, business development, or technical marketing within the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include defining product direction, engaging customers, and driving commercial execution.

  • Define and own product strategy and roadmap for SLM IP covering 2.5D/3D-IC, chiplet interconnects, and memory interfaces across manufacturing test and in-system lifecycle management.
  • Create Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and validate Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) to ensure market fit and commercial viability.
  • Engage directly with customers (hyperscale, automotive, mobile) to gather feedback and shape product direction based on real-world use cases.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies: positioning, pricing (EDA and IP licensing), launch planning, and sales enablement with marketing and field teams.
  • Present at industry conferences and tradeshows to build awareness and establish thought leadership for the SLM portfolio.
  • Track product performance metrics (revenue, design wins, customer adoption, competitive displacement) to inform prioritization and planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and R&D to translate market needs into deliverables and guide technical tradeoffs.

Requirements

Concise list of required and preferred qualifications.

  • Must-have: 15+ years in product management, business development, or technical marketing within the semiconductor industry with exposure to DFT, MBIST, or SoC development.
  • Must-have: Deep knowledge of EDA flows and BIST methodologies (RTL generation, insertion, verification, post-silicon debug/diagnostics).
  • Must-have: Technical understanding of CPU architectures (ARM, ARC, RISC-V), memory controllers, and interface IP PHYs (DDR/LPDDR/HBM/cHBM, UCIe).
  • Must-have: Proven ability to analyze technical and business tradeoffs, synthesize customer input and competitive intelligence, and make data-informed strategic decisions.
  • Must-have: Experience managing global product roadmaps and working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and executives.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with IEEE standards (1149.1, 1500, 1687/IJTAG, 1838, P3405) and exposure to automotive functional safety (ISO 26262).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in go-to-market pricing models for EDA and IP licensing and presenting to executive-level stakeholders.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required; MS or MBA is a plus.
