Job Title

Director, Process Integration — Qubit Modalities (GF Labs)

Role Summary

Lead process integration for GF Labs' quantum technology roadmap, focusing on scaling specific qubit modalities toward at-scale quantum systems. The role provides technical leadership of an integration team and drives program execution, customer joint-development, and system-level reliability efforts.

Experience Level

Senior / executive-level role. The posting expects an experienced process integrator and leader; specific years of experience are not stated.

Responsibilities

Drive technical and operational execution for quantum process integration and system-level readiness.

  • Execute GF Labs quantum technology roadmap and align deliverables with strategic customer needs.
  • Plan and lead customer joint development programs targeting large-scale quantum systems.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary integration team (physicists, process engineers, design enablement, project managers).
  • Advocate technical milestones and ROI to business stakeholders; communicate progress clearly.
  • Develop and prioritize system-level capabilities for hardware reliability, with emphasis on cryogenic operation readiness.
  • Oversee process integration execution: optimize project scope and timelines and drive continuous improvement in quantum fabrication processes.
  • Use OKR-driven management to track quantum hardware benchmarks and program objectives.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills required to perform the role.

  • Must-have: Proven experience as a process integrator with strong background in BEOL (back-end-of-line) integration and materials systems relevant to quantum hardware.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated leadership of technical teams and program execution under aggressive schedules; experience managing multidisciplinary teams and scaling headcount.
  • Must-have: Experience running customer joint development programs and interacting with strategic customers on technical scope and deliverables.
  • Must-have: Experience developing system-level reliability capabilities, including considerations for cryogenic operations.
  • Must-have: Strong project management, process optimization, and continuous-improvement mindset; familiarity with OKR or similar objective-driven management systems.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge across quantum modalities (superconducting, photonic, electron spin, ion trap) and experience with quantum hardware benchmarks.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience in semiconductor fabrication environments and collaboration with design enablement teams.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
