Director of Engineering - SoC Verification
Role Summary
Lead and grow the Noida SoC verification R&D organization responsible for verification of advanced microcontrollers and microprocessors. The role drives technical execution, verification methodology adoption, and cross-functional alignment to meet schedule, cost, and quality targets.
Experience Level
Senior β requires extensive experience. The posting specifies 15 years of SoC verification experience and 10 years leading SoC verification teams.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include team leadership, technical execution, and cross-functional coordination.
- Lead and build a high-performance SoC verification team in Noida; hire, train, mentor, and develop verification leads.
- Define and execute detailed SoC verification plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Manage technical risks, track progress, and provide mitigation plans to meet schedule, quality, and cost commitments.
- Own SoC verification quality sign-offs and hand-off deliverables.
- Drive best-in-class verification methodologies, tool adoption, and process compliance across global teams.
- Collaborate with architecture, systems, emulation, SoC design, software, physical design, and IP teams to influence design and verification improvements.
- Prepare and present technical updates and executive-level reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in technology forums, EDA tool evaluations, university initiatives, and customer engagements as needed.
- Travel approximately 5β10%.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in SoC verification.
- Minimum 10 years experience leading SoC verification teams.
- Deep knowledge of SoC verification methodologies and quality sign-off practices.
- Experience coordinating across RTL, DFT, emulation, physical design, IP, and software teams.
- Proven ability to produce execution plans, resource schedules, progress reporting, and milestone tracking.
- Strong risk management, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and experience presenting to senior technical and business leaders.
- Nice-to-have: experience evaluating EDA verification tools and participating in academic collaborations or customer-facing quality assessments.
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is specified).
