Role Summary
Lead a software IP engineering organization responsible for the development, integration, and delivery of software and FPGA IP solutions for next-generation FPGA platforms. The role covers strategy, architecture, product execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption across AI, networking, embedded, and data-center workloads.

Senior level. The posting requests 12+ years of relevant technical experience and 6+ years of engineering leadership managing large, geographically distributed teams.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical strategy, team development, product delivery, and cross-functional integration.
- Lead and grow managers, technical leads, and individual contributors; define objectives and hiring plans.
- Define and execute roadmaps for FPGA software IP, libraries, frameworks, and platform technologies.
- Oversee development and delivery of reusable, production-ready IP for embedded systems, AI/ML acceleration, networking, DSP, security, and high-speed interfaces.
- Drive architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and engineering best practices (CI/CD, automation, validation).
- Partner with Product Management, FPGA architecture, silicon engineering, validation, and customer teams to align requirements and integration work.
- Measure and improve software quality, engineering efficiency, customer adoption, and business impact.
- Represent engineering in executive reviews and customer engagements.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 12+ years of software engineering, FPGA development, semiconductor technologies, or related technical domains.
- 6+ years of engineering leadership experience managing large, geographically distributed organizations.
- Experience building software platforms, frameworks, middleware, SDKs, drivers, or IP solutions at scale.
- Deep understanding of FPGA technologies, embedded systems, and hardware/software co-design principles.
- Proven track record delivering complex software products and platform technologies.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across hardware, software, and product teams; excellent communication and executive-level collaboration skills.
- Nice-to-have: experience with Quartus, RTL development, verification methodologies, FPGA IP, firmware, device drivers, AI/ML acceleration, networking, or data-center technologies.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with Agile, CI/CD practices, and modern software engineering processes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
