Director of Advanced Technology

Role Summary

Lead definition and execution of the technology roadmap for WSD's in‑house FBAR (acoustic) filter technology and related active device and packaging technologies. Drive technology development, integration into product development, and cross‑functional alignment to deliver advanced RF module products.

Experience Level

Senior — requires a minimum of 18 years of overall experience, including at least 6 years in management.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership, strategic direction, and delivery of advanced RF and acoustic filter technologies into product programs.

  • Define and own the technology roadmap for FBAR and other acoustic filter technologies.
  • Lead technology development, integration, and transition into product development teams.
  • Drive innovation and identify synergies across device, transistor, RF signal integrity, and packaging technology areas.
  • Translate product design challenges into technology development priorities and architectural studies.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (product, design, packaging, test, manufacturing) to enable product delivery.
  • Mentor and grow technical teams; recruit, retain, and develop engineering talent.
  • Establish technical metrics, milestones, and roadmaps to measure progress and impact.
  • Represent the division in strategic planning and technology evaluation activities.

  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams and to define strategic technical direction.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with RF module product architectures, advanced packaging techniques, and large‑scale productization.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience running architecture studies that inform product and business strategy.
