Role Summary
Lead an RF filter design organization focused on developing industry-leading Bulk Acoustic Resonator (BAW) filters and RF front-end module solutions. Drive technical excellence, design-for-manufacturability, cross-functional coordination, and timely product introduction.
Desired location: Munich, Germany. This is a management role responsible for hiring, developing and directing engineering teams and for collaborating with global sites.
Experience Level
Senior / Management — typically requires 5–10 years of experience leading engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage engineering activities to deliver RF filter products and module solutions that meet specifications, quality, and schedule.
- Lead teams designing BAW RF filters and RF front-end modules; ensure technical integrity and adherence to design processes.
- Coordinate design activities with R&D, operations and fabs to ensure manufacturability, yield improvement, and first-to-market timing.
- Drive operational efficiency and reduce cycle time across design teams; promote continuous process improvement.
- Manage hiring, performance, talent development and career progression for direct reports and the broader organization.
- Collaborate with global teams across the US and Spain to align product development and transitions to production.
- Promote and drive use of AI tools to improve team productivity.
- Travel as required (up to ~10%).
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications for successful performance in this role.
- Proven expertise in design, manufacturing and testing of RF filters for integrated modules (especially BAW filters).
- Experience in RF design management, preferably with exposure to the cellular handset market.
- 5–10 years of experience leading engineering teams and managing engineering organizations.
- Strong leadership, change management, interpersonal and people-management skills.
- Advanced analytical and organizational skills; ability to develop teams to meet group objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present technical information to large internal and external audiences.
- Proven track record of bringing new products to market.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working with fab sites to optimize yields and design-for-manufacturability.
