Director, Custom Silicon Solutions and Program Strategy
Role Summary
Senior engineering and operations leader responsible for test engineering strategy, customer engagement, and program execution for Marvell’s custom cloud and hyperscale silicon solutions. The role leads a cross-functional team to define test methodologies, operational readiness, and program plans that enable scalable production of advanced compute and AI silicon.
This leader is the primary customer-facing test engineering contact and coordinates across Product, Design, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Program Management to translate customer requirements into execution-ready plans.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Lead strategy, planning, and execution for custom silicon programs with a focus on test engineering, manufacturing readiness, and customer success.
- Manage and grow a cross-functional test engineering team supporting custom cloud and hyperscale customers.
- Drive customer engagements on test engineering, manufacturing operations, and program execution.
- Own RFI/RFQ sizing, resource planning, cost modeling, and execution assessments for custom silicon opportunities.
- Define scalable test methodologies, test coverage strategies, and manufacturing readiness plans for advanced process technologies.
- Coordinate program tracking, risk assessments, and customer deliverable management across global teams.
- Translate customer application requirements into engineering and operational execution plans.
- Represent test engineering in executive-level technical reviews and customer meetings.
- Support technology roadmap alignment and strategic investment planning for next-generation test capabilities.
Requirements
Must-have technical leadership and hands-on semiconductor test and operations experience; preferred items noted where applicable.
- 15+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Operations Engineering, or related semiconductor roles.
- Proven leadership managing engineering and/or operations teams in semiconductor product organizations.
- Technical familiarity with advanced process nodes (TSMC 5nm and below), high-density compute architectures, high-speed interfaces, die-to-die interfaces, HBM, and MCM architectures.
- Experience with test plan generation, silicon bring-up, characterization, yield optimization, and manufacturing execution.
- Knowledge of Advantest and Teradyne platform capabilities.
- Experience supporting high-volume, compressed-schedule bring-up of SoC, custom ASIC, or cloud silicon programs is preferred.
- Strong program management, analytical skills, and ability to influence across matrixed global teams (Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain).
- Excellent customer communication skills and experience driving complex technical programs from concept through production.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information where required; role may be subject to export license review.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred. The posting specifies electrical engineering as the expected field of study.
